Posted by on Jun 26, 2015 in Blog, Places and Activities to Do in Eastern Idaho

If your stuck in Rexburg for the 4th of July and are looking for different things to do one of the best 4th of July celebrations in the area is in Idaho Falls. Every year Melaleuca puts on a beautiful 4th of July Celebration on the Green Belt by the Snake River.

This event is completely free you just have to find a place to sit to watch the fireworks. The awesome thing about their firework show is they sync music from a radio station to the fireworks so while you watch you also get the patriotic music that goes a long with freedom and celebrating the 4th of July. Fireworks begin at approximately 10:00 PM. BRING YOUR RADIO TUNED TO KLCE 97.3FM! The fireworks are FREE!

Besides the fireworks on the night of the 4th they also have different activities and booths set up around the river. This is a great opportunity to get out and support the locally owned booths. Idaho Falls also has a really great 4th of July parade that is fun to sit and watch. Really you could spend the whole day in Idaho Falls to a vary of different activities. You don’t want to miss out on this amazing firework show that is completely free to the public!

If you don’t want to fight the traffic of the 4th of July Celebration by the river in Idaho Falls there is also a really great 4th of July celebration in Menan. This is great for people in Rexburg because Menan is even closer to Rexburg so there isn’t as much of a commute. They have a pretty awesome parade, then booths and games in the park all day and at dusk of course the fireworks.
